Happy Sunday

Have you ever paused to think about how you approach God? Do you come with a list of requests, or do you start with a heart full of thanks?

Psalm 100:4 says it clearly: “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” This verse isn’t just poetic. It’s a powerful instruction that sets the tone for how we’re called to engage with our Creator.

Thanksgiving is an Entry Point

The Scripture doesn’t say, “Enter with complaints” or “Show up with stress.” It says thanksgiving. Why? Because gratitude changes our posture. It lifts our eyes off the problem and turns our focus to the One who is bigger than anything we face.

When we begin with thanksgiving, we’re acknowledging that God is already at work, even when we can’t see it. It’s not about ignoring the hard stuff. It’s about starting from a place of trust.

A Courtroom of Praise, Not Pleading

Think of a royal courtroom. When someone walks in, they don’t just rush the throne. There’s honor, reverence, and protocol. The same goes for God’s presence. Praise isn’t a filler before we get to the “real” prayer. It is the main event. It’s how we align our spirit with heaven’s atmosphere.

Gratitude invites us into communion. It keeps us from becoming entitled and reminds us of God’s faithfulness through every season.

Thanksgiving Makes Room for Bold Living

When we live with a thankful heart, something shifts. Worry loses its grip. Fear gets quiet. We become bold—not because life is perfect, but because we remember who walks with us.

Thanksgiving doesn’t just change our approach to God; it transforms how we see ourselves and the world around us. It helps us walk confidently, knowing we’re not just pleading for help—we’re standing in the presence of the One who holds all things together.

Make It Personal

Start your day by listing three things you’re thankful for. Say them out loud. Write them in your journal. Let thanksgiving set the tone for your prayers, your decisions, and your dreams.

Gratitude isn’t just a good habit—it’s spiritual warfare. It shifts the atmosphere. It silences the lies. And it unlocks bold faith.

So today, before you do anything else, enter His courts—not with stress or fear—but with thanksgiving.
