Reignite the Altar, Reclaim the Assignment
By Kwesi Kwakye Korankye Kesse
There comes a moment in every believer’s journey when the flame flickers. Not because God has moved, but because we’ve drifted. Not in rebellion, but in routine. Not in defiance, but in distraction.
You wake up and realize: I miss Him.
Not the service. Not the structure. Him.
The whisper of His presence. The joy that once danced in your spirit. The clarity that came from knowing you were walking in step with your Source.
This isn’t a rebuke. It’s a reminder. A holy invitation to return—not in shame, but in surrender.
When You Forget, You Forfeit
Forgetting your Source doesn’t mean you’ve stopped believing. It means you’ve stopped burning.
You lose clarity. You lose conviction. You lose the confidence that comes from knowing Who sent you.
Like Samson, you may still move but without the Spirit, you’re swinging blindly. Like Martha, you may still serve, but without Mary’s posture, you miss the moment.
The enemy doesn’t need to destroy you. He just needs you to forget.
The Power of Remembering
When you remember your Source, you remember your strength.
You reclaim your identity.
You restore your authority.
You reignite your assignment.
Moses remembered the burning bush.
David remembered the oil.
Jesus remembered the Father.
And you? You must remember the altar where you wept. The journal entry that changed everything. The verse that broke the chains.
Rebuild the Altar
You don’t need a perfect plan. You need a willing heart.
Start here:
- Revisit your first love.
- Reignite your habits.
- Reclaim your voice.
Let your altar burn again.
Reflect and Return
Ask yourself:
- What moment first marked my walk with God?
- What distractions have dulled my hunger?
- What does my altar look like today?
Speak life:
- “I remember who I am.”
- “I remember Who sent me.”
- “My altar will burn again.”
🙏 A Prayer for Return
Father, I’ve drifted not in rebellion, but in routine.
Today, I remember. I return.
Reignite my fire. Restore my focus.
Let me burn again.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
